This Canadian Developer Will Cover Your Living Costs For A Year If You Buy Their Condo

Recently, Canadian condo developers have been coming up with all types of creative strategies to attract people to buy their homes. The latest? A Vancouver condo developer will cover home buyers' living costs for a year.

Several interesting incentives have popped up in Vancouver so far this year for home buyers. For instance, one developer offered condo buyers free avocado toast for one year, and another promised free wine for a year

Now, another property is taking it a step further by offering to cover living expenses for an entire year – which means they'll pay for maintenance fees, property taxes and more during that time period.

Located in Vancouver, Eliot at Norquay is a new boutique collection of one, two and three bedroom condos. Currently, 23 condos are available at the property, according to their website

"Situated on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of a vibrant East Vancouver neighbourhood, this boutique, four-storey low-rise is at the centre of it all," reads the property description on their website. "Restaurants, retail shops, and cafés are all steps away from your front door. Starting in the mid $400's, these homes are an affordable choice for the modern family."

Home sales for the condos have now begun and they're offering an extra incentive to the first buyers. Eliot at Norquay made the announcement on their Facebook on Sunday.

Their Facebook post announced that the first four home buyers would get to "live free for 1 year", meaning their living expenses, such as their mortgage interest and mainteance fees would be covered.

Vancouver's real estate market has been undergoing a slowdown recently with both home sales and prices declining, which has prompted developers to get creative with their marketing.

Eliot at Norquay will be located at 2688 Duke Street, which is close to Kingsway. To find out more about the property, you can visit their website
