Created and organised by the fans, the convention is produced by Toronto-based entertainment agency Pop! Goes the World! in response to individuals seeking more Kpop-centric music events in Canada. Vancouver Kpop Con 2018 aims to provide a fun and family-friendly musical experience for fans of Korean culture, as well as being a great opportunity to meet and socialise with like-minded individuals in your city who are also serious fans of Kpop.
The confirmed acts include headliner Amber Liu - a member of the popular Korean girl group f(x), managed by prominent entertainment company SM Entertainment, boy band A.C.E, and Youtubers Jun Curry Ahn and Fei Yang (also known as heyitsfeiii).

According to a press release by Amazon Canada, there will be five new sites in British Columbia including an "advanced robotics fulfillment centre" in Vancouver, a sorting centre in Langley, and delivery stations in Langley, Pitt Meadows, and Delta.
The thousands of new jobs are safe, offer competitive pay, and come with "industry-leading benefits and career growth opportunities starting on day one," says the release.
"Our new facilities will help us meet our customers' growing demand for great products and faster delivery times while also expanding the service and support we can provide to the thousands of local small businesses selling their products on Amazon," said Sumegha Kumar, director of Canadian customer fulfillment operations at Amazon Canada.
