How do stay cool in the summer? Whether you love sipping frosé on a shady patio or plunging into a waterfall swimming hole in the forest, there's a way to stay chill no matter what your pace. River floating combines the ease and relaxation of summer patio sipping with the adventure and nature of chasing waterfalls. That's why it's one of our favourite summer activities and we're always on the lookout for a new place to show off our floaties!

Just over the border in charming Fall City, Washington, the Snoqualmie River is the perfect place for a river float this summer with your friends. Kick back and sunbathe in the cool river as it lazily winds down a winding 6 KM route.

Sometimes a river float requires a lot of planning and logistics. Firstly, you have to have all of your supplies and then you have to have at least two cars: one parked at the start of your float and one parked at the end. Even though it can be a hassle to plan, it's totally worth it.

Plus, if you're like me and you want to just relax, there's a place called Fall City Floating who will do all the work for you. You can rent a tube from them and they'll pick you up and bring you back to your car after your float!

This lazy river float is only 30-minutes from Seattle and they're officially opening for the season on June 15th. If you're planning on driving down to the states for a weekend this summer, then you should definitely add this to your itinerary! While you're in Seattle, be sure to fill up on Shake Shack and end your night at a Carnival-themed bar.

It's a three-hour drive from Vancouver to Fall City where you can jump into the Snoqualmie River for the most chill float ever. This is the perfect mini-road trip for the summer and makes for a really fun day trip.
