You Can Take A Magical Walk Through A 1.5 Km Forest Trail Of Lights In Whistler This Spring
If you think that Christmas is the only time you can see light displays, then think again! This Spring in Whistler, you can walk through a forest that's been magically transformed with light and sound. Vallea Lumina is coming back this Spring for another season and we can't wait!
You'll walk along a 1.5 km pathway that winds through a majestic old growth forest. The experience takes about an hour to complete as you walk through the multimedia displays that create a magical world around you. As you walk you'll discover a story along the way that reveals itself chapter by chapter!
If you have friends who aren't very outdoorsy, then this would be a sneaky way to get them to go out on a mini-hike! It's also a great experience for anyone who loves mysteries and escape rooms because you can look for and follow clues along the way. You'll be able to fill your Instagram feed with amazing night-time shots of a magically lit up forest that's straight out of Alice In Wonderland. It all actually reminds me of being a kid and going to glow-in-the-dark bowling or mini-golf—the magic and excitement of bright colours in the dark is totally nostalgic and doesn't get old.
Vallea Lumina opens on Friday, June 7 and you can get tickets online. Their timed-entry tickets are available every day of the week at 9:40 p.m., 10 p.m., 10:20 p.m., 10:40 p.m., 11 p.m. and an extra time slot at 11:20 p.m. on the weekends. Tickets are $39.99. Make sure to wear close-toed shoes and it can get cold at night so bring an extra layer!
