Ryan Reynolds' Brand New IMAX Film Premieres Today And You Can Watch It In Canadian Theatres This Weekend

Move over David Attenborough, there is a new raspy voice in town narrating our nature documentaries! One very good looking male actor, and proud Canadian is narrating a new documentary centered around the Great Bear Rainforest in BC. Ryan Reynolds' IMAX documentary is set to premiere in Vancouver today and will be available for public viewing in cities across Canada this weekend!

It only makes sense to have a Canadian narrate a movie about Canada. That’s why director Ian McAllister chose Reynolds to narrate a new film that took three years to produce.

The documentary entitled Great Bear Rainforest will follow the same lines as many of our favourite Planet Earth productions. Shot over a series of years, this film follows the dramatic reality of the Great Bear Rainforest.

Along with taking a look at the rare and adorable spirit bear, the movie will touch on the fragile ecosystem it lives in and what scientists are doing to preserve it. The film will also look at the diverse family of animals and plants that live within the rainforest and how they all impact the land greatly. Between the dramatic music, intense nature shots, and Reynolds’ soothing voice, you know it’s going to be a great film.

A preview of the movie is set to take place on Tuesday, February 11 in Vancouver. So far, there has been no word if Reynolds will be attending the premiere. He has, however, expressed his own excitement by posting a preview of the documentary on his Instagram page. Don't worry if you didn't get invited to the premiere because you'll be able to see the documentary this weekend in cities across Canada!

The film is set to be available to the public on February 15. A number of science and IMAX centers will be playing the movie including Science World in Vancouver, IMAX Victoria, Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, Science North in Sudbury, and TELUS World Of Science in Edmonton.

Ticket prices vary depending on location and will be anywhere from $9 to $12. You can purchase tickets online or in person at the theatre, just remember to change the date to February 15 if you're purchasing tickets online ahead of time.

We highly suggest buying them early. Even though most theatres will be playing the movie for a couple of months, we would hate for you to miss out on the opportunity. Plus, it's a cheap deal for some quality entertainment.

Our international and U.S. friends will also have a chance to watch the movie as it will become available in Tijuana, Singapore, San Diego, Atlanta, and Seattle, just to name a few.
