Your Favourite "13 Reasons Why" And "Riverdale" Actors Are Currently Filming In Vancouver For An Epic New Movie

Do you love a good high school centred drama series like Riverdale or 13 Reasons Why? Did you love reading John Green’s The Fault In Our Stars or Paper Towns? If you’re anything like me then you’ve definitely read both of those books, you’ve binged all of 13 Reasons Why and you’re always searching the next best thing to watch.

Katherine Langford, star of 13 Reasons Why, stars in the upcoming film adaptation of the YA novel, Spontaneous. If you’re wondering what kind of story this is - think any John Green book but darker, nerdier and with a sci-fi twist. It has everything from romance to heartbreak, friendship to crass hilarity with the addition of explosions, fantasy and some serious mystery.

It tells the story of an unassuming town that is hit with a scientifically implausible event. The small town’s high school students are suddenly combusting without explanation. Yes, you read that right – combusting. I’m talking your best friend is walking down the hall, pops like a balloon and now she’s splattered across study hall. This dark and hilarious story stars Katherine Langford from 13 Reasons Why and Riverdale’s Hayley Law.

The film will be directed by Brian Duffield, the screenwriter from Insurgent, so I suspect the movie will have badass women, insane CGI and obviously unreal explosions. I whole-heartedly expect this movie to be amazing in every aspect, including the exploding teenagers.

If you’re still wondering whether or not this is for you, here are some themes from the story: Spontaneous combustion, YouTubers, hallucinogenic mushrooms, mad scientists, mysterious FBI agents, spring break and of course, prom. That’s all we know for now, so you should either go read the book or anxiously wait for us to spill more movie details!

The Spontaneous stars have already been spotted filming in Vancouver. The highly anticipated movie is planned to shoot now until March 2018.
