These Venus Razors Are Being Recalled Across Canada Due To Cutting Risks

If you felt that your razor blade may be cutting sharper than usual, well, you may not be going crazy. Popular brand Venus is recalling razors across Canada due to a cutting hazard. hazard. According to the Government of Canada, a nationwide recall has been put out regarding Venus Simply3 Disposable 4-count razors.

While it may seem odd that a razor is being recalled for a cutting hazard, the issue stems from a misalignment of the blades. This means there is a higher risk of cuts during use.

The recall will be for the four pack of disposable blades that come in pink/white, yellow/white, and purple/white. The affected products were sold at Walmart Canada, both in store and online on their website.

So how do you know if your product is affected by the recall? The faulty products can be identified by UPC 047400315358 and lot code 9003A17400.

The UPC can be found at the back of the product's packaging and the lot code can be found printed in black ink on the right or left side of the product's plastic packaging.

As of June 11, 2019, the company has received no reports of injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company only received one report, where a consumer was cut while using the razor.

It is believed that about 2,700 units of the affected razors were sold in Canada. Of those, 15 units are estimated to be defective. These products were sold between February 2019 to May 2019.

Should you happen to find a faulty razor, stop using it immediately and contact Venus for a refund or replacement. Until then, if you're feeling lazy, it may be the perfect excuse to stop shaving your legs!
