If you're thinking about taking a train trip to another Canadian city, now would be the time to get your tickets. VIA Rail's Tuesday savings are available now, and you can get a ticket for as low as $18.

Until midnight tonight, the Canadian train company is offering discounted tickets from coast to coast for travel dates between January 25 and 31.

Currently, some of the big savings are on tickets for Ontario trips. For example, you can take a leisurely ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls for the weekend for just $18.

Tickets from Toronto to Montreal are just $45. If you're in the mood for taking in the nation's capital, a trip from the 6ix to Ottawa costs the same.

Outside of Ontario, you can catch a trip from Halifax to Moncton for just $50, or Montreal to Quebec City for $34.

If you find yourself on the west coast and you want to pay a visit to one of the country's most beautiful national parks, you can take a train to Jasper, Alberta from Prince George, Edmonton, or Vancouver for $62, $87, or $133, respectively.

VIA Rail offers savings like these every Tuesday, so if you miss out on this week's sale, you can check again on January 28.

If you think you'd like to take a cross-country train trip, you can get discounted tickets for those as well. While a ticket from Toronto to Edmonton would normally cost over $320, you can get one now for just $293.

These discounts make it easy and affordable to plan a short winter trip.

You can also get 15% off weekend tickets to Quebec City right now by using the code "carnaval."

There are a few conditions to keep in mind when buying these discounted tickets. These prices are for one-way trips under the Economy Escape fare. There is also limited availability for these seats.

Tickets can be exchanged for a 50% service charge, but they are non-refundable.
