"Virgin River" Just Came Out On Netflix Canada But Viewers Already Want Season 2

We're only a few days into December, but Netflix has already released tons of new content this month that has viewers talking. One show, in particular, that's really caught people's attention is Virgin River on Netflix Canada, and as it turns out, it was actually filmed in B.C. and there's a Grey's Anatomy star you'll totally recognize.

The show is about Melinda Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse practitioner who moves to the quiet and quaint town of Virgin River, California for work.

Upon moving to the town, Melinda realizes that small-town living isn't exactly as it seems from the outside, and she has a lot of inner healing to do before she's ready to call Virgin River home.

As she's getting acquainted with the town, Melinda also meets Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson from Grey's Anatomy), and she quickly finds herself catching feelings for him.

Overall the show has a very fun and romantic vibe to it and is being compared to the TV show Hart of Dixie, which aired from 2011 - 2015.

Virgin River hasn't been rated by critics on Rotten Tomatoes yet, but as of right now it's earned an audience score of 100%, and people can't stop raving about it on Twitter.

"Virgin River was really good @netflix Now I have to wait for season 2...but don't know how long I have to wait? This is getting frustrating, at least give me two seasons when you know the shows are so great," one user tweeted.

"Ok so I made the mistake of watching all of Virgin River in one day and now I will not be able to focus on exams until Netflix confirms a season 2," commented another lover of the show.

As it turns out, filming is almost wrapped on season two of Virgin River, so we'll definitely be getting it, it's just a matter of finding out when the new season will be uploaded to Netflix.

Some of the most notable filming locations for the series include Snug Cove on Bowen Island, Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park, and Port Coquitlam's Samz Pub, just to name a few.
