While the Seattle Seahawks continue to rise to the top in NFL's Power Rankings, they are not the only ones holding up the beacon for the Evergreen State. Now, a new study notes that Washington is the all-around best state in the United States

Washingtonians are thrilled about a common sentiment. — They already knew it, but this confirmation is the cherry on top.

The U.S. News & World Report just released the "Best States Rankings" for 2019, and we made it to first place.

The ranking considers more than 70 factors including the quality of health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and corrections among other things.

The natural environment is another factor. From the bluest of waters and immortal trees to enchanting rainforests, breathtaking waterfalls and mysterious lava tubes, we're no strangers to the outdoor beauty that abounds within our borders. Overall, Washington also did well in other areas like health care, education, economy, and infrastructure too.

Needless to say, the locals are thrilled. "While those of us that live here already know this, it is now clearer that Washington State is the best state in the US," one Puget Sounder wrote on Twitter. "We already knew that, but it's still good to hear," another agreed.

In case you were wondering what other states made the top 10 list for 2019, here you go:

  1. Washington

  2. New Hampshire

  3. Minnesota

  4. Utah

  5. Vermont

  6. Maryland

  7. Virginia

  8. Massachusetts

  9. Nebraska

  10. Colorado

The Evergreen State stood in 6th place last year. But as we come to the end of this year, there's a sweet reason to rejoice. As we welcome a new decade, let's celebrate living in the best state in the United States in 2019!
