When Will Schitt's Creek Season 6 Be On Netflix Canada? You May Have To Wait A While

The beginning of the end is near and big fans of the CBC sitcom are just not ready to say goodbye. But of course, all good things must come to an end including the story of the Rose family and their shenanigans. The premiere day of the final season is tomorrow but you might be wondering when will Schitt's Creek season six be on Netflix Canada? You may have to wait a while based on the past uploading trends.
We first got introduced to Johnny, Moira, David, and Alexis in January 2015 which marks five years since its release.
The first episode started out with the very rich family being defrauded by their business manager and losing everything they had except for one very strange thing. It turned out that a while back the family's patriarch bought a town called "Schitt's Creek" just for the joke of its name.
Now that tiny town was all they had to fall back on, and they went from a mansion lifestyle to living in a dingy and gross motel. Luckily, the parents and kids got separate rooms.
After five hilarious and heartfelt seasons, we found out that the sixth one would be the last since the creators, father and son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, wanted a natural conclusion to end the show.
According to Decider, there's a common trend to when new seasons of the sitcom are uploaded onto Netflix.
They wrote that "Season 4 of Schitt’s Creek ended on April 10, 2018 and premiered on Netflix on October 11, 2018. Season 5 of Schitt’s Creek concluded on April 9, 2019 and premiered on Netflix on October 10, 2019."
Decider continued, "With those dates in mind, we expect Schitt’s Creek Season 6 to arrive on Netflix in October of 2020."
There hasn't yet been a confirmed release date from Netflix Canada.
That means there are still nine long months to wait if you don't have cable or you prefer binge-watching the whole season at once.
The season six trailer gave us tons to look forward to from the Rose family along with the characters we know and love: Stevie Budd, Roland and Jocelyn Schitt, Ted Mullens, and Patrick Brewer. We can also expect more from Dan's real-life sister Sarah who plays Twyla Sands, as well as Bob and Ronnie.
You can catch the season six premiere on Tuesday, January 7 at 9 p.m. on CBC.
