Whether or not you care about celebrities, it's always cool when you know they're in your city. It may be someone who lives in Toronto like Shawn Mendes, or a ton of celebrities who are in town for a movie. But celebs are just like us even though it's hard to forget. While they may not be digging in their purse for $5 to buy a coffee, they do love a good local coffee shop. So where do you spot celebrities in Toronto

Whenever celebrities come to Canada, they rave about a lot of things. Shay Mitchell recently revealed that she actually imports snacks from Canada because she misses them so much. And Hailey Baldwin actually gifted hubby Justin Bieber donuts from Tim Hortons for Valentine's Day. It doesn't get more Canadian than that! However, the most star-studded place in Canada is definitely Toronto, and since celebs come here to work most of the time, they need their caffeine fix. So keep reading to find out if you have the same favourite coffee shop as your favourite celebrities!

Ryan Gosling // Grinder Coffee

Where: 1021 Gerrard St E

Now this story is a cute one. During TIFF last year, Grinder Coffee tried for eight days to get Ryan Gosling to stop by their coffee shop. While most people would end up disappointed, Ryan surprised them by showing up! The owners told CTV News that he "saw their posts and found it quite funny". The owner also said that his mom was the one to convince him to check out the shop, and she joked that she had "free coffee for life".

This actually isn't the first time Grinder Coffee has tried to get a celeb to their shop! The year before they tried hard to get Idris Elba to stop by, but he didn't show. So if you want to see one of your favourite celebrities during TIFF, check out Grinder Coffee. They're always inviting them in!

Lucy Hale // Bulldog Coffee

Where: 111 Richmond St W

Lucy Hale is really killing it these days. If you follow her on Instagram, you'll know that she's pretty much never home because she's traveling so much. She's lived in Canada a few times now due to filming. The pilot of Pretty Little Liars was filmed in Vancouver, and her show Life Sentence was filmed there as well. She's now known as Katy Keene, which is the spinoff to Riverdale. Lucy recently filmed a few episodes in Toronto, and she even showcased where she got her mid-day coffee!

If you've never heard of Bulldog Coffee, they make the cutest rainbow lattes. A couple of weeks ago Lucy showed off her latte from there, so you know it's good. We're not sure if she'll be back in Toronto filming the rest of the season, but if she is, you can be sure to find her back at Bulldog Coffee!

Shawn Mendes // Jimmy's Coffee

Where: 107 Portland St

Jimmy's Coffee is one that people rave about. They actually have three locations, with two right across the street from each other. They have signature cups that have bright yellow lids, so you know when someone's been to Jimmy's Coffee. An even bigger bonus? It's Shawn Mendes' favourite coffee shop! He's been seen there multiple times, and once you go, you'll understand why.

Shawn Mendes is currently on a break from touring until June, so maybe you'll catch him there. Fans get a ton of photos with Shawn in this area in general, so keep an eye out!

Adrian Grenier // Drake Mini Bar

Where: 150 York St

You may not know this because Drake Mini Bar is popular at night, but it's actually a cafe starting at 11:30 am from Monday to Friday. While you can catch celebs here every once and a while, during TIFF, this is the place to be. Adrian Grenier has been seen eating here a few times, and if you've come here at night a lot, try changing it up and going for coffee! You won't regret it.

Meghan Markle // Fresh on Spadina

Where: 147 Spadina Ave

While you unfortunately won't run into Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their son Archie here anytime soon, Meghan actually used to come to Fresh on Spadina quite often! When she wasn't a Duchess and was an actress on Suits, she posted on her long-gone Instagram page from this restaurant. RIP to Meghan's former Instagram account, but if she ever does go back, she can upload a photo on her new sussexroyal page. It's unlikely, though.

Fresh on Spadina has a ton of cool drinks at their cafe. It's a vegan and vegetarian restaurant, but they have a full menu that's filled with "botanical lattes" and "hot drinks". Torontonian's love Fresh restaurants, so it wouldn't be a shock if you saw a famous face there!
