Drake is taking legal action after he says an Instagram model he met on tour in 2017 tried to extort him. Layla Lace and Drake crossed paths during his Boy Meets World tour in England and from the sounds of this story, he probably wishes they hadn’t.
Drake and Lace, a curvy model and former stripper, began texting when one of his buddies reached out to her on Instagram - her sexy pics had Drake intrigued. Ironically, all of this messy drama has since led her to delete her account, which was essentially her bread and butter.
After some exchanging of texts, Lace hopped on a plane and went to see the rapper overseas. According to Drizzy’s lawyer, he and Lace hooked up at his Manchester hotel. According to the lawsuit, “Layla also voluntarily and seemingly happily performed oral sex.”
Following the encounter, Drake’s legal team says Lace became obsessed, creating a fantasy relationship with the rapper. They also say he never had the “time or energy to respond” to any of her advances and this eventually led to her harbouring resentment.
In April 2017, Lace took to Instagram to make a jaw-dropping claim - “So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant, they stop answering they phone!” Insinuating she was preggers with Drake's baby.
Following a huge stir in the media over her claims, Lace spoke on the SiriusXM station, Shade 45, “I know who I sleep with unprotected, period. It’s one hundred percent [for] sure [Drake’s child], he knows it.”
In May 2017, Lace actually tried to take legal action against Drake. She demanded money for her alleged unborn baby and even threatened him with defamation after TMZ published a story saying Drake had never even met her.
After her first ploy to allegedly extort the rapper didn't work out, Lace changed her tactics. She went to authorities in New York claiming Drake had raped her that night in the Manchester hotel.

She and her lawyer demanded money from the star and if they didn’t get it they threatened to make the rape claim public. The case was turned over to Manchester police who interviewed the rapper and eventually cleared him.
Drake is now fighting back big, he may have won the battle but he wants to take the war too. He’s now suing Lace for civil extortion, emotional distress, fraud, defamation, and abuse of process. There has been no word on how much money in damages he's seeking.
Drizzy, you know we love you, but couldn’t a lot of your woes be avoided if you just kept it in your pants?
