Lights Of The North Is Winnipeg's Dazzling Indoor Light Festival & Christmas Market

We couldn't be more excited for Winnipeg's massive indoor light festival. One of the best parts of the holiday season is seeing all the magical lights to get us into the festivities. Instead of freezing outside, you can stay cozy indoors at Winnipeg's Lights Of The North, which currently happens to be the city's only indoor light festival.

At this dazzling event, you can see more than half a million twinkling LED lights and gorgeous Christmas-themed 3D structures. You won't want to miss the festival this year, which is happening from December 5, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

Lights Of The North will occur in downtown Winnipeg at 450 Portage Ave. You can escape the cold inside the 80,000-sqft building where the 3D light displays will take your breath away and distract you from -40 C weather outside.

This event is so spectacular, that it's worth the trip to Winnipeg to experience it. Photographing the illuminated displays at this wondrous event is something that you could put on your holiday bucket list.

Additionally, Winnipeg is home to the world's longest river skating trail, and you can find the world's largest snow maze in Manitoba, too. These should totally be on your list of places to visit this holiday season in Canada.

On top of all the gorgeous light structures at Lights Of The North, there will be a beautiful tunnel of lights to stroll through, a Christmas market loaded with amazing things to buy, live music, and fun interactive exhibits to discover.

To help you get perfect holiday photos, there will also be a festive photo booth at Lights Of The North. What more could you ask for in a Christmas event?

Well, the surprises keep coming, because this year, you can also enjoy Instagrammable illuminated drinks. These festive Frost Cups will be available in multiple colours and will look like glowing Christmas lightbulbs.

Tickets to Lights Of The North are currently for sale online at $19.99 for weekdays, and $22.99 for weekends and holidays.

Tickets will approximately cost an extra $5 at the door, if there are any tickets left from online sales. So if you have your heart set on attending this event, make sure to buy your tickets online now before they sell out.
