Winter just got way better because Ice Castles are coming to Winnipeg this year! We totally just levelled up, like when you get to the castle at the end of Mario except this is real life and the castle looks so much cooler!
There are only 6 locations in North America and only 2 in Canada and we are one of them! The other location will be in Edmonton.
Each ice castle weighs 25,000,000 pounds and they grow 10,000 icicles a day when building the castle. Tickets are not yet for sale but from previous years are expected to be around $18/$20 for ages 12+, $12/$15 for ages 4-11, and free for ages 3 and under.
The Ice Castles will be built this winter 2017 and be open depending on how cold the weather is. They will be located at 105 Waterfront. You can find out more about the Ice Castles here and the Winnipeg Facebook page here.
They are a must see this winter, and we'll see you there!
Over half of those tickets were given to people who hosted indoor and outdoor gatherings and another nine tickets were given to those who failed to self-isolate when they were supposed to. These tickets came out to $1,296 each.
An additional 12 tickets of nearly $300 each were given to people who weren't wearing their masks while indoors in public places.
In April, the investigation led to the delivery driver's home in Mynarski and they found an astounding 100 stolen items.
Those items accounted for an additional $30,000 in stolen packages.
"A 58-year adult male of Winnipeg was charged with one global charge of Theft from Mail (encompassing 46 events) and released on an Appearance Notice," read the news release, saying that more charges might come down the line.
