Yorkville Is Getting A Major Upgrade With This New Luxury Hotel

Hard to believe, but Yorkville's going to get all the more beautiful with a new, gorgeous hotel. Yesterday, luxury hotel-chain Kimpton announced they'll be opening a Toronto location - taking over the space that was once occupied by a Holiday Inn at 280 Bloor St. W.

Kimpton specializes in boutique-style hotels that give guests a unique and chic experience. The chain currently has hotels all over the United States, as well as some locations abroad in Amsterdam and the Cayman Islands.

Expect some truly gorgeous Instagram opportunities in 189 guest rooms, 18 suites and one 2,000 square foot presidential suite. The new Toronto hotel will also feature an amazing street-facing restaurant and bar, that we can't wait to try out. The first Canadian-Kimpton is set to open its doors mid-2018, so get ready to make a reservation!

An Oakville Resto Posted A Notice Saying It Welcomes Diners Who Aren't Vaccinated

Businesses that don't comply with Ontario's proof of vaccination policy risk facing a hefty fine.

Italian restaurant Zucchinis Cucina in Oakville says they will be allowing unvaccinated patrons to dine with them despite the new vaccine certificate program in Ontario.

The restaurant took to Instagram on Thursday, September 23, and posted a picture of a sign announcing that they do not discriminate "against any customer based on sex, gender, race, creed, age, vaccinated or unvaccinated."

According to the World's Best Cities report, an acclaimed ranking of urban hot spots by Resonance Consultancy, the 6ix is currently named the 18th greatest global destination. Toronto beat out all other Canadian cities by a country mile, including Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary, which took the 46th, 48th and 49th spots respectively.

Dr. Christopher Hassell has paused his practice at York Medical, a clinic in Richmond Hill, for the "foreseeable future" after allegations of him giving out exemptions to COVID-19 mandates.

Tweets of the incident, which have since been deleted, show long lines wrapping around the building this past Saturday, with allegations of Hassell giving out exemptions for the mask mandate and possibly COVID-19 vaccines.
