The trail winds through Canada's gorgeous forests. Not only is it busy enough on regular days, but throughout the season they also have special Fire & Ice nights that are wildly popular.

As you can guess by their name, Fire & Ice nights bring together the experience of the skate trail with some amazing fire features. The entire 1.3 km trail is fully lined with tiki torches. On those special nights, the torches are all lit for a perfect evening of skating under the stars.

In previous years, the nights have been super popular, meaning it's also going to be really busy in the park. Insiders recommend going to one of the Thursday night skates if you can since they tend to be less crowded than Saturdays.

The list of dates for this season has already been announced and it's starting even earlier than normal. The first Fire & Ice night is none other than New Year's Eve. Mark your calendars because the rest of the season is scheduled for the following nights:

Arrowhead hasn't yet announced when the ice trails will be open, only saying that it is weather dependent,  but they are hoping for a December opening. Admission into the park is $17 for a car, but once you're in there is no additional cost to go on the rink. The only extra cost would be skate rentals if needed, which are $10.

This year, weather permitting, they are hoping to run the Fire & Ice nights through until the beginning/middle of March.  The special tiki-lit events typically take place from 6-9 PM.
