Since the Toronto Raptors first stepped onto the court 25 years ago, they've hosted some of the biggest superstars in the league, broken NBA records for attendance, and became the first team outside the U.S. to win the NBA championships — not that you need a reminder.
We've stood side-by-side with the Raptors through it all. We've crowded streets, bars, and Jurassic Park to watch the games, cheered at the wins, and prayed to the 6ix God when time stood still. Now, with the 25th season in full swing, the Raptors want to celebrate the only way they know how: with Toronto's biggest fans.
To honour 25 years in the NBA, the Raptors have partnered with AXE Canada to transform the Raptors Practice Court at Scotiabank Arena for the ultimate fan experience. For the first time, and with the help of point-guard king Fred VanVleet — whose 22 points in Game 6 helped power the Toronto Raptors to their first NBA Championship in franchise history — AXE Canada is giving Raptors fans an opportunity to experience the court in-person.
Now, spots filled up quickly last Thursday, but no stress! AXE and the Raptors are opening up more time slots for you to come down and recreate VanVleet’s wildest shots for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime basketball experience. Fans can sign up here.
So, do you think you have what it takes? Can you recreate VanVleet's iconic Game 3 shot, where he crushed any hope of a comeback from the Golden State Warriors when he caught a pass from Kawhi Leonard and hoisted a rainbow shot over Draymond Green with not even one second to spare? Or what about any of his record-setting three-pointers?
