This beautiful beach tucked away in a small town in B.C., was named among the best in Canada. With sweeping ocean views, velvety sand and thick forest running alongside it — it's a postcard kind of spot.
B.C. is full of stunning beaches, with clear blue waters, scenic shorelines and picturesque beauty around every corner, but this one stands out among them. Spanning 16 kilometres, Long Beach is one of the most famous shorelines in Tofino – a go-to surfing hotspot and summer destination.
On a recent poll on the Narcity Canada Facebook Page it was named among the best beaches in Canada, by multiple commenters.
It's not only special because of its size but also its views, surrounding rainforest, and surfable waves. Long Beach is set within the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, so right alongside the soft sand is an old-growth forest brimming with lush greenery.
Walking along the beach (which will take you a while thanks to its size) you can look out and see the Incinerator and Lovekin Rocks, which the beach is known for. The massive rocks are just off the beach in the water, and make it that much more scenic.
On the ends of the beach you'll find jagged rocks with waves crashing onto them, and you can spend all day exploring here.
Either bike along the paved pathway or drive down the road and you'll reach the popular town of Tofino. The little community is bustling with shops and restaurants, but still has a small beach-town feel to it.
There's other beautiful beaches in the area too, so a trip here is full of ocean swims and sandy feet.
