This 2 km BC beach with grassy dunes and velvety sand was named among the 'best' in Canada
Nestled on an island in B.C. is this dreamy stretch of sand, with scenic beach grass blowing in the wind, warm pools of water and stunning views.
It was just named among the best beaches in Canada, in a post on Narcity Canada's Facebook page, and it's the kind of place summer dreams are made of.
Air Force Beach is tucked away on Vancouver Island, nearby the town of Comox. Just 15 minutes outside of town, Comox makes for a great base on a summer trip if you want to visit this sandy shoreline.
The two-kilometre-long beach has warm tidal tools as the water pulls out, along with its soft sand. It's actually a private paid beach, but right beside it is Kye Beach (a free option public beach).
With crystal clear water and dreamy views though, this is a go-to spot. According to My Comox Valley Now, a seasons pass for the beach costs $30, and day passes are $5.
If you want to really take some time to enjoy the beach, you can stay at Air Force Beach Campground.
The oceanside campground has washrooms and facilities, and you can wake up and step out onto the beautiful beach.
With sparkling ocean views, mountains in the distance, soft sand, and a cute town nearby to top it all off — it makes sense why people named this beach among the best in the country.
