Burlington's annual Sakura Festival is returning on May 10, 2025, and it's full of springtime splendour.
Located 1 hour from Toronto, the event is hosted by the Burlington Mundialization Committee and honours Burlington's twin city, Itabashi, Japan.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy live performances, such as Japanese drumming, dancing and live karate demonstrations.
One of the festival's highlights is the dreamy trail of cherry blossom trees in Spencer Smith Park.
Around 40 cherry blossom trees line the lakeside pathway, creating a dreamy canopy of pink blooms. You can wander through a tunnel of pink petals and snap some gorgeous photos.
If you're looking for more cherry blossom magic, you can head to Toronto's new SakuraFest, which is taking place at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. The event boasts Japanese tea ceremonies, film screenings, culinary pop-ups, and more.
