This BC destination with endless rows of tulips is like a spring trip to the Netherlands
This spring you can drive to a place just outside of Vancouver and spend the day wandering rows and rows of colourful blooms. Millions of tulips fill the fields of this area, all with the backdrop of the mountains.
It's a scene out of a storybook, and the expansive fields will transport you to the Netherlands in the spring.
The Fraser Valley comes alive in the warmer months, with flowers transforming the landscape into a sea of colour. According to The Fraser Valley tourism website, the area is home to "over 20 flower experiences."
In the springtime tulips are the star, filling the landscape with bright yellows, reds, and pinks.
You can take your pick of farms to go and see the beautiful flowers at, and visit the annular Harrison Tulip Festival — which is actually Canada's Largest Tulip Festival. The festival takes place of a stunning 109-acre farm, and they've got 12 million tulips to walk among.
Maan Farms is also in the Fraser Valley, and this year is doing a Tulip Forest, where the flowers are nestled among the towering trees.
You can spend days here visiting all the farms, making for a fun day trip outside of the city. Also stop by Lakeland Flowers, Greendale Acres, and the other local spots to get your fill of beauty this spring.
