SpaceX performed a test of their latest Starship rocket prototype, dubbed SN11, Tuesday morning, but it seems things didn't go quite as planned.
As SN11 approached the landing pad, the company's live stream camera suddenly froze due to the fact that the rocket had exploded, and SpaceX founder Elon Musk decided to crack a quick joke on Twitter.

The cause for the explosion is currently unknown as the company continues to investigate, but Musk says "it looks like engine 2 had issues on ascent & didn’t reach operating chamber pressure during landing burn, but, in theory, it wasn’t needed."
The failed rocket comes just weeks after the previous Starship prototype, SN10, successfully touched down on the landing pad after completing a "flip maneuver," but it eventually exploded as well.
Musk said the next prototype, SN15, will be rolling to the launch pad in just a few days and has "hundreds of design improvements across structures, avionics/software & engine."
