I’m beyond thrilled to share that on March 16, I’ll be launching a new show on @Netflix called Waffles + Mochi! I'm… https://t.co/bBqzVZzBrI— Michelle Obama (@Michelle Obama) 1612879208.0
Obama will star alongside a pair of friendly puppets in the 10-episode food series that is designed to encourage kids to eat healthily.
"With the help of friendly new faces like the supermarket owner, Mrs. Obama... Waffles and Mochi blast off on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms and homes all over the world, cooking up recipes with everyday ingredients alongside renowned chefs, home cooks, kids and celebrities," reads the show's synopsis.
Healthy eating for children has always been a priority for Obama, as the former First Lady launched the Hunger-Free Kids Act under her husband's administration.
The show is produced by Obama herself and former president Barack Obama.
Waffles + Mochi will be the latest release from Higher Ground Productions — Barack and Michelle Obama's production company.
