That means most people have the day off work on Monday.

Costco: Costco locations in Ontario are closed on Family Day.
Walmart: While most Walmart stores are closed on Family Day, some locations across the province are open.

Rabba: All Rabba locations in the Greater Toronto Area are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That includes Family Day.
Liquor stores
LCBO: Stores are closed on Family Day.
The Beer Store: Closed on February 19, 2024.
Wine Rack: Wine Rack stores are open across Toronto on Family Day.
Restaurants
Casa Loma: You can experience High Tea at the Castle on Family Day with an Edwardian-era afternoon tea at Toronto's Casa Loma which offers a selection of teas, scones, gourmet pastries and tea sandwiches.
Café Boulud: This restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto has a Family Day brunch will a two-course prix fixe menu, live chef carving, waffle station, dessert bar and more.
The Soca Kitchen: This Ottawa restaurant is offering an $18 Latin Lunch Combo that includes tacos, salad or potatoes and a drink.
Lulu Bar: Located in Toronto's The Well, this restaurant with a Pacific-inspired menu is open on February 19.
TOCA: This restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Toronto has tables available on Family Day.
Fox on John: You can get a complimentary dessert when you buy any main, pasta, pizza, or handheld from the Toronto restaurant's regular-priced food menu.
Taps Public House: This restaurant in Mississauga has open tables on February 19.
Zoe's: This restaurant at Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa is offering afternoon tea service on Family Day. It features six savoury sandwiches and four desserts.
Louix Louis: Located at The St. Regis Toronto, Louix Louis is taking reservations for "Royal Brunch" on Family Day.
It features seven sharing dishes including filet mignon with scrambled egg and shaved truffle, mini French toast topped with maple and crisped lardons, lobster avocado toast and more.
Ce Soir Brasserie + Bar: This restaurant in Oakville has open tables on Family Day.
The Albion Rooms: This Ottawa restaurant is accepting reservations for February 19.
Malls and shopping centres
Eaton Centre: Open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Family Day.
Yorkdale: Closed on February 19, 2024.
Sherway Gardens: Closed.
Rideau Centre: This mall in Ottawa is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Family Day.
Square One: Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on February 19.
Bramalea City Centre: Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Vaughan Mills: Open between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Toronto Premium Outlets: This shopping centre near Toronto is open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Family Day.
Outlet Collection at Niagara: Open on February 19 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Oakville Place: Closed on Family Day.
Shops at Don Mills: Closed.
Upper Canada Mall: Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Things to do
ROM: On Family Day the entire museum is open and free for everyone — no tickets required.
Casa Loma: Open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Journey Behind The Falls: This Niagara Falls attraction is open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
National Art Gallery of Canada: Open on Family Day.
Art Gallery of Ontario: Open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Family Day with family-friendly activities that are free with admission.
Nathan Phillips Square skating rink: You can go skating at Nathan Phillips Square between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on February 19, 2024, because the rink is open for drop-in leisure skating.
CN Tower: You can visit the CN Tower between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on February 19.
The Distillery District: Après Ski weekends at The Distillery District include the Family Day long weekend.
You can sit by a fire, make smores, sip on warm drinks like hot chocolate and mulled wine, dine on food from the outdoor wood-fired grill, and more on February 19.
Rouge National Urban Park: This national park — which borders Toronto, Markham, Pickering and Uxbridge — is open 365 days a year.
Services
Canada Post: Regular Canada Post mail collection and delivery is happening on Family Day in Ontario.
Banks: Banks in Ontario are closed on February 19 for Family Day.
However, you can still withdraw cash from ATMs and access your accounts, pay bills, and more with online banking.
Service Canada: Locations in Ontario are open on Family Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ServiceOntario: Closed on February 19.
Certain ServiceOntario services are online now so you can still renew your driver's licence, renew your licence plate, renew your health card, and more even when centres are closed.
Transit
TTC: Holiday service is operated on Family Day. That means all TTC routes are on a Sunday service schedule but starting earlier at 6 a.m.
If a route doesn't normally operate on Sundays, there is no service on the holiday.
GO Transit: GO Transit is on a Saturday schedule for Family which means trains and buses operate on the Saturdaytime table for each route.
Some GO Transit routes don't have weekend service so you need to check a route's specific schedule for information about service on February 19.
