"We've heard Toronto described as 'New York City run by the Swiss,' and it's true," the travel site says.
Meanwhile, Vancouver also made the cut, coming in at #21 this year for solo travellers. The "cosmopolitan city nestled in the great outdoors" was touted as a dream for travellers who love mixing urban adventures with a generous dose of outdoor adventures.
