You Can Go On A Tubing Adventure Down A Natural Lazy River Near Jacksonville For Just $10

Float the day away!
Contributor

Summer in the Sunshine State is hot. Along with hitting the waves at one of Florida's famed breezy beaches, grabbing an innertube and hitting a lazy river will provide just as much relief from the sizzling weather. Tubing on Ichetucknee Springs State Park is one of the best spots to beat the summer heat.

This six-mile crystal blue river near Jacksonville calls tubing enthusiasts to its banks all year round. You'll glide underneath the towering trees that dominate and cascade over you like soldiers defending their emerald kingdom.

The scenery that surrounds the spring enhances the quaint atmosphere that envelops the lazy river. The currents aren't strong, so you'll easily float down this enchanting oasis.

You can bring a tube, but if you don't have one, don't sweat. Visitors can rent a tube at two placesThe General Store or the Ichetucknee Tube Center. The latter of which has $4 floats for rent.

After you have your device, it's time to head on down to the river and float the day away.

Thanks to Florida's near year-round warmth, the springs can be enjoyed year-round.

Sure, tubing isn't the only thing you can do at this wonderment of a state park. Inchetucknee Springs is also an excellent destination for kayaking and seeing the bounty of wildlife that this place has to offer.

In other states, you'll have to wait until the summer months to escape the city and unwind. While in Florida, the water is just as crystal blue in January as it is in July, and this spot is proof.

Instead of hitting up a crowded beach, take some stress off, grab an innertube, and float down the Ichetucknee River. It will be a lazy day you won't soon forget.
