This Canadian destination named among the world's 'top natural phenomena' for travellers
Expedia released its 2025 report for travel predictions, putting the spotlight on some of the most beloved and spectacular places around the world.
This Canadian destination stood out among the rest, landing a stop on 'The Phenomena-List' in the report. The Bay of Fundy is known for its incredible tides, which are the highest in the world, and is why it's on the bucket lists of many.
Expedia combines data from its own site, Hotels.com, Vrbo as well as consumer reports to determine all of the ins and outs of travel for the year ahead. The report lets you inside the travel industry, laying out the top destinations, things to do, and what you don't want to miss out on in 2025.
"Survey data revealed that the top natural phenomena travellers want to experience is seeing the Northern Lights (61%), followed by geological phenomena (30%) like volcanos, geysers, and hot springs," the report said.
Caada's claim to fame on the list though is the magical Bay of Fundy, set on the East Coast of the country.
Famed for having the highest tides in the world, you can walk along the long stretch of exposed ocean floor as the tide pulls back, and then watch it rise high once again afterwards.
Fundy National Park is the perfect place to go and see the natural phenomena that is the Bay of Fundy, with ocean-side trails and stunning views.
Kayaking along the shoreline you can paddle as the water rises up to 12 meters or more.
Hopewell Rocks are another bucket-list destination, where you have access to the ocean floor of the Bay, and you can see the impact of them.
The sculpted sea stacks that are along the shoreline here are a testament to the power of the tide, and they're a pretty unique sight to take in.
