United Airlines Is Adding So Many New Flights From Canada To Major U.S. Cities This Spring
Fancy a trip to the U.S.? United Airlines has announced that it will be offering so many new flights connecting the U.S. and Canada this year, so it's time to start planning a getaway.
On Thursday, the airline said it will be adding over 100 new flights between the two countries starting this spring.
With flights to scenic mountain towns and major American cities on the agenda, you'll definitely want to start planning some U.S. trips.
Starting in May, United will be serving nine Canadian cities with more than 150 daily average flights between the U.S. and Canada, according to a news release from the airline.
The new routes include the resumption of flights between Halifax-Newark/New York, Vancouver-Washington, D.C, Winnipeg-Denver, and service between Chicago and Winnipeg and Quebec City.
United says it will also be adding more flights between the U.S. and Canadian cities including Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa.
At the airport's hub in Denver, the airline will be resuming nonstop, year-round service from Winnipeg (YWG) for the first time since 2020 on May 23, 2024.
Travellers from YWG as well as Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Montreal (YUL), Edmonton (YEG), and Calgary (YYC), will also be able to fly to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, the airport to travel to Yellowstone National Park, and the mountain towns of Vail and Aspen, Colorado, by connecting through Denver.
United will also be resuming nonstop service between Winnipeg and Quebec City and its hub in Chicago, and will increase trips between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Toronto and Montreal, it says.
The airline will resume daily nonstop seasonal service between Vancouver and Washington Dulles International Airport in May.
Those in Halifax looking to escape to the big city will be happy to know that United is restarting seasonal nonstop service between Halifax and Newark Liberty International Airport, with flights resuming on May 23, 2024.
There will also be more daily non-stop flights between Calgary and San Francisco starting this summer.
Flights will be operated by United Airlines or its United Express partners.
The news means there will be plenty of opportunities for Canadians to explore the U.S. this summer.
