Guillermo del Toro has filmed several movies in Toronto and he's been vocal about how much he loves the city.
The Oscar-winning film director is currently filming his latest project in Toronto and it looks like he spent part of his weekend checking out some bookstores around town.
On March 23, del Toro shared he stopped by Acadia Art & Rare Books (on Queen Street E.), which he called one of Toronto's "best bookstores."
He also revealed that he finished his third week filming his latest Netflix film Frankenstein, starring Jacob Elordi and Oscar Isaac.
On March 24, del Toro followed up by revealing he spent over an hour browsing at the Acadia bookstore.

On March 17, the film director gave a shout-out to Vinegar Syndrome, a video store on Roncesvalles Ave.
"Great shop!! Did some damage!" del Toro tweeted.
A Reddit thread has popped up in r/Toronto about del Toro's most recent tweets and many Torontonians are sharing how great it is that the film director is loving the city. Others claim that he owns a place in the city, but that isn't confirmed.
What is confirmed is that he is clearly enjoying his time in Canada and we love any time he shares the great spots he discovers.
Aside from his new film Frankenstein, del Toro has spent a lot of time in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
His 2017 film The Shape of Water and 2022 horror series Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities were both filmed in the GTA.
Del Toro's 1997 film Mimic was also filmed in Toronto.
The website Toronto Verse has created a del Toro map sharing all the places the director has been to and tweeted about over the past several years.
His recommended spots in Hamilton include The Cannon cafe, J.H. Gordon Books, and Rapscallion and Co. restaurant.
In Toronto, the list includes Isabella's Mochi Donut, Delhi Bistro, Little Island Comics, and Ed's Real Scoop.
While he has yet to personally shout out any Toronto restaurants while he films Frankenstein, del Toro was spotted with several cast members of the film at PAI in January.
He's also reportedly been spotted by a fan at Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto.
