White Rock Night Market

Why You Should Go: A new night market is launching in White Rock on May 31. White Rock Night Markets will take over the promenade inside Memorial Park on the last Friday of every month from May to September 2024.
You'll find delicious food, live entertainment and unique local crafts at this new event.
West Vancouver Community Cultural Festival
Cost: Free admission
When: May 31 from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and June 1 from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Why You Should Go: Celebrate multicultural diversity at the West Vancouver Community Cultural Fest. The two-day festival aims to bring people together through food, music and culture.
Shipyards Night Market
Cost: Free admission
When: May 31 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Address: 19 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver
Why You Should Go: The Shipyards Night Market takes over the waterfront in North Vancouver every Friday night throughout the spring and summer. The popular market draws in thousands of people every year with its variety of food trucks, live performances, beer garden and artisan vendors.
Vessi 500 Championship
Cost: Free Admission
When: June 1 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Why You Should Go: One of Canada's and B.C.'s largest dragon boat races is back at False Creek this weekend. Over 100 teams will take part in the Vessi 500 Championship. The event will also feature a number of vendors and food trucks.

Black Music Month Festival
Cost: Free admission
When: May 31 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 1 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 2 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Why You Should Go: The Black Music Month Festival is back for its seventh year in Vancouver.
The event celebrates the vibrant artist contributions of the black community. The festival will feature over 70 local and international BIPOC artists and vendors, as well as delicious food and live music. The outdoor celebration will be held at the City Centre Artist Lodge throughout the weekend.
Hats Off Day
Cost: Free admission
When: June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Address: 4019 Hastings Street, Burnaby
Why You Should Go: Celebrate Hats Off Day at a two-kilometre street party in Burnaby.
The community event will feature a parade, vintage cars, entertainment, street food from around the world and more. This year's theme is "Once Up a Time" and anyone attending is encouraged to dress up as their favourite fairytale character.
Outdoor yoga class on the pier
Cost: Free
When: June 1 from 9 am. to 10 a.m.
Address: The Pier at London Landing, 6120 Dyke Road, Richmond
Why You Should Go: Practice yoga outdoors this weekend with a free class at The Pier at London Landing in Richmond. The event is free for all, but space is limited so you're asked to RSVP to secure a spot.
Anyone planning on attending is asked to bring their mat, hat, and sunglasses and to bring extra layers in case it gets chilly.
Karaoke Sundays

When: June 2 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Why You Should Go: A brand new karaoke event is kicking off this weekend at Chill x Studio in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
The free event is open to seasoned performers and karaoke first-timers. So head to the party on Sunday, enjoy some drinks and belt out your favourite tunes.
