Mildred's Temple Kitchen serves up some seriously tasty meals, like their iconic Mrs. Biederhof’s Wild Blueberry Buttermilk Pancake which are visually stunning and likely too leave you in a bit of a food coma afterwards, in the best possible way.
If you're more into savoury dishes, check out The Shak which is two eggs baked in an ooey-gooey delightful mess of tomato, red pepper, shak, harissa, cumin, coriander and smoked paprika topped with marinated feta.
And don't forget to grab a scone — they're baked fresh every morning with a recipe that's been perfected over 30 years.

Go up the CN Tower

Why You Should Go: The CN Tower is one of the most identifiable landmarks in the city (if not the most!), and unlike other tourist traps, it's well worth it to go up to the top.
"Discover spectacular views, from the Main Observation Level at 346 m (1,136 ft.), and go even higher to The Top, located a thrilling 447m (1,465 ft.) high above the city," says the attraction's website. "The Top is the highest observation platform in the Western Hemisphere, 33 storeys higher than the Main Observation Level."

Why You Should Go: After that, head on over to the east end of the city to do some wandering in the pedestrian-only cobblestoned area known as The Distillery District.
There's a bunch of super cute cafes, restaurants, stores and museums to wander in and heritage buildings to take in as well as beautiful spots to pose in, like the the Big Heart on Tank House Lane. Don't forget to stop by the Mill Street Brew Pub for a beer or by Tartistry for a pastry — or do both!

Why You Should Go: You're likely working up an appetite at this point, so it just makes sense that your next stop should be Kensington Market as there's an incredibly wide array of international foods to choose from.
Momos, beef patties, tacos — take your pick! While you're nibbling on various delicious foods, you can admire the art spaces, boutiques and vintage shops. Depending on the time of year, there might be live music or artistic events happening, with Sunday being the day that usually happens.

Why You Should Go: Now that it's heading into the afternoon, you likely need a caffeine hit and to chill out a bit, so head to the west end of the city to grab a delicious latte and croissant at Cossette Coffee.
Once you have your treats, it's a short walk to High Park which is free to wander and is a great spot to people watch.
Take a spot on one of the benches, or go for a leisurely stroll and visit the petting zoo which is home to capybara, bison, llamas, rabbits and all kinds of delightful animal friends.

Why You Should Go: Next up, it's dinner time! Start heading back east and tuck into a delicious meal at Sugo.
"Located near the corner of Bloor and Lansdowne, we offer lunch and dinner menus serving classic sandwiches like veal parm, daily pastas and salads, and desserts such as house made tiramisu and gelato," says the restaurant.
"Sauce is our specialty. Whether you choose a traditional red, white or pink, we’re ready to make you rethink the importance of good sauce."
Everything they make is delicious, but in my opinion, their spaghetti with veal, pork and beef ragu is the winner.

Watch the Raptors or Leafs play

Why You Should Go: Whether or not you're a sports person, it's really cool to watch the Leafs or Raptors play and get into the spirit of things.
The vibes when Toronto teams play at home are all kinds of patriotic, and even if you have no idea what's happening on the court or rink, i's still fun to cheer along.
