You can step into a twinkling paradise at this Christmas event in Ontario. With free admission, cozy cups of apple cider and enchanting wagon rides, it's a magical spot to enjoy the holiday season.

The Simcoe Christmas Panorama, located just over 2 hours from Toronto, is returning from November 30, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

The dazzling event is "Ontario's oldest Christmas light festival" and has been running for over 60 years.

More than 60 displays and 500,000 lights transform Simcoe's downtown parks into a "winter wonderland," according to the website.

You can wander past glittering trees and magical installations such as a gingerbread house, holiday train and fantasy castle.

To add to the magic, there are events and activities happening throughout the season.

You can stop by the log cabin to purchase some hot chocolate and cookies to keep you cozy.

There will also be apple cider and apple cider donuts available at the Tumaini Hut, as well as sandwiches and poutine from a food truck, so be sure to bring your appetite.

On select dates in December, you can ride a horse-drawn trolley through the dazzling lights for $4 per person.

Other events include Santa visits and free treats from Mrs. Claus' kitchen.

There's a map available online so you can check off all the twinkling stops.

There is no admission costs for the event, but donations are accepted.
