In a recent Instagram Q&A, we asked locals for the very best spas in Ontario. Readers shared their favourite destinations to get totally pampered and we rounded up the top eight spots.

Vettä Nordic Spa

Why You Need To Go: This dreamy Finnish spa received the most shoutouts from locals, and it's easy to see why. The venue, which opened in 2022, is located an hour and a half from the city in scenic Horseshoe Valley and features so many relaxing amenities.
You can enjoy an "authentic, Finnish hydrotherapy cycle of heat, cold and relaxation." Saunas, cold plunges, exfoliating salt scrub and showers, steam rooms and more are located outside of the venue so you can unwind in nature.
There are also relaxation areas including hammocks where you can rest and journal.
Vettä offers massages and is home to a bistro as well as a Finnish-inspired with scenic views.
Thermëa Spa Village

Why You Need To Go: The second most-nominated spa is the Thermëa Spa Village in Whitby. The recently-opened venue is a mini oasis and features saunas, baths, rest areas and more.
The thermal experience takes you through a number of facilities to help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
There are also a range of services and treatments to book, such as massages, facials and salt scrubs.
Highlights include Källa, a saltwater float pool, as well as Rhassoul, a "communal rejuvenating experience of clay, steam, orange blossom scrub and so much more."
The spa is also home to "three culinary universes" and you can enjoy boozy drinks, bites and drool-worthy dishes.
100 Fountain Spa

Why You Need To Go: This 13,000 square foot spa resort in the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake is worth a visit, according to locals.
Located at the Pillar and Post Hotel, the venue boasts an "extensive menu of spa services to soothe from head to toe and mind to soul."
Guests can enjoy a fireplace lounge, indoor saltwater pool, hot tub, outdoor pool, hot spring pool and fitness centre. You can also book treatments such as body scrubs, pedicures, massages, facials and more.
