Toronto's New Australian Bar Is So Chic & It'll Transport You To The Land Of The Long Weekend (VIDEO)
A new Australian-inspired bar just opened in Toronto, and it brings the land of the long weekend vibes to the heart of the 6ix.
Electric Bill is a small, chic bar filled with personality located on Bloor West near Ossington. Its menu is filled with so many cocktails that change with every season and drool-worthy Aussie snacks.
@miranabulsi Electric Bill is Toronto‘s newest Australian inspired restaurant and you’ll be walking out of there saying “G’day mate,” any day of the week ! ⚡️##electricbill##autralianrestaurant##australiantoronto##australia🇦🇺##torontolife##torontotiktok##torontofood##torontobar##newtorontobar
The new bar is a collaboration between Aussie bartender Casey Ryan and the team behind Civil Liberties, one of Toronto's most notable bars. In fact, they're so close in proximity that you can bar-hop any day of the week and get thirst-quenching cocktails at both.
But at Electric Bill, you can get a cocktail with Australian-inspired dishes on the side, which are just too good to skip out on.
"I love living in Toronto but I often find myself missing the Australian bar scene. I wanted to bring our cheeky, laid-back bar vibe to this amazing city and provide a place where Torontonians could get a taste for authentic Australian culture — as well as provide a home away from home for fellow Aussies here in Toronto," Ryan said in a press release.
From the moment you walk into the bar, you're instantly transported to a world where the Aussie spirit is so contagious, you'll find yourself saying, "G'day mate," on your way out.

Electric Bill ditched the QR code menus and brought out something even more creative — a dictionary they repurposed into a cocktail menu, sprinkled with Aussie lingo and definitions for the uninitiated.
It's super fun to flip through it and feel like you're in elementary school again, except that now you're old enough to order a cocktail off of it — although it also has a whole bunch of alcohol-free drinks that taste just as good.
"Our menu is flavour and ingredient driven — we juice fresh fruits for our cocktails, like the apples for the Whiskey Apple, and we change up our offerings seasonally to align with local produce," Ryan shared. "Our goal is to transport and captivate taste buds, while also being conscious of our environmental impact."
But you can't go to Electric Bill without ordering a few snack items to try. From beef sausage rolls to Australian hand pies and chicken parm lollipops, the snacks are more filling and hearty than you might expect from a glance at the menu.
Also, their homemade tomato sauce is so delicious that I wish I could've taken a bottle of it home to dip everything in.
So, if you were looking to escape Canada and go somewhere where the vibes are even more friendly and welcoming, head Down Under to Electric Bill.
