Port Perry is quaint village located 1 hour from Toronto on the shores of Lake Scugog. According to a press release, it's "perfect for a classic Canadian winter adventure" and has lots of festive magic.
The town doesn't just look like a Hallmark scene — it's actually been the filming location of several festive films such as The Enchanted Christmas Cake and A Very Corgi Christmas.
On November 29, Port Perry's trolley experience will launch and you can enjoy "a magical tour of the town’s holiday lights and scenery, capturing the essence of winter charm." The rides will continue every weekend until Christmas from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Main Street is a "perfect small town winter wonderland" with Victorian vibes and twinkling Christmas lights. It's a great place to get some shopping done while sipping cozy coffees from the local cafes.
Since Christmas is all about sweet treats, you won't want to miss out on Hank's Pastries or The Nutty Chocolatier. Both shops serve delicious goodies that will get you in the festive spirit.
On December 7, you can enjoy the Scugog Santa Claus Parade which features 40 floats, marching bands, live entertainment and more.
You can also visit some of the nearby tree farms such as Spademan Tree Farm or check out a festive local market such as Willowtree Market for some extra holiday fun.
