Nowadays, a competitive edge in the world of business can make all the difference when it comes to finding — or creating — the career of your dreams. This past year has been a great time for reflection, and it may have brought up some questions regarding your career.

If you're unsure of the next steps you should take in finding a job that's right for you, or if you're looking to develop skills that will allow you to advance beyond your current role, an MBA is definitely worth considering.

But with so many MBA programs to choose from across Canada (and the globe), getting the relevant information you need can be overwhelming.

That's where the QS Virtual MBA Event can help. This series of virtual events will connect you to the world's top-notch business schools. The events are set to take place in mid-September across western Canada, Montreal and Toronto. If you're considering applying to an MBA program, register for one of these events to find the school that's right for you.

Those in western Canada can drop in on Tuesday, September 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PDT, and those located in the Montreal area can attend on Monday, September 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EDT. All you have to do is register for each respective event and submit your CV so that you can be matched with schools that best fit your career goals. After that, you'll be given a schedule of up to five 25-minute Zoom meetings where you (and a few of your peers) can get all of your MBA-related questions answered.

If you're in and around Toronto, you can tune in on Sunday, September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT. Not only do you have the opportunity to attend personal meetings with admissions representatives, but you'll also be given access to the virtual fair that includes networking opportunities with fellow candidates, school representatives and alumni. To top it all off, there will be info sessions and workshops, including test prep advice.

Bonus: at all three of these events, you'll gain access to a scholarship pool worth approximately CA$7.3 million (or US$5.8 million).

Participating schools at the QS Virtual MBA Events include the likes of the University of British Columbia - Sauder, University of Toronto - Rotman, York University - Schulich, Concordia, and more. Spots for the QS Virtual MBA Event are limited, and it's no wonder why: within just three months of graduation, 85% of MBA graduates find work with salaries averaging $87,882 — and that's just to start.

Even if you're already working within a company or industry you love, an MBA can give you that competitive edge you've been searching for.
