Here's What Ontario's Latest Stay-At-Home Order Means For Golf Courses

On Wednesday, April 7, Doug Ford announced that Ontario will be entering a new stay-at-home order as of Thursday, April 8 at 12:01 a.m. If you're wondering, "will golf courses be open during the stay-at-home order?" here's what we know.

While Ontarians are being asked to stay home apart from making essential trips, the government did state that outdoor exercise can be considered essential in some circumstances.

A spokesperson from the premier's office confirmed with Narcity that the rules for golf courses will remain the same as they were under the shutdown.

The provincial website outlines a number of outdoor recreational amenities that were permitted to open under the previous orders. 

Golf courses are included on that list with some conditions. The conditions include physical distancing and no locker rooms, change rooms, showers, or clubhouses.
