Every year, people from around the city and beyond flock to ZOOLIGHTS at the Calgary Zoo.

While a whole lot is different this year, the holiday tradition of seeing the zoo explode with billions of twinkle lights isn't going anywhere.

The event will be kicking off on November 20 and it will run until January 3. It will take place every night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to an email sent to Narcity from the Calgary Zoo.

Along with all the classic family-friendly activities that guests have come to love, such as the skating rink, fire pits, axe throwing and Lover’s Lane, several new activities have been added to make this year even more memorable

The Calgary Zoo

Some of the new additions include a "Polar Wonderland," a ton of new games and activities, and of course, an adult-only night.

The "Adult-Only Date Night" will take place on November 24 and it will include mulled wine and some of the most romantic scenes you'd laid eyes on.

The holidays are the cutest time of year, after all.

So, this November, you're going to what to bundle up with your boo and head to the zoo for an unforgettable date.

Tickets are required in advance and there are a number of new safety considerations involved. Be sure to wear your mask in all indoor spaces.
