Environment Canada his issued winter storm warnings and special weather statements across the province because, as we now know, it's officially winter in Alberta. 

The weather warnings are calling for up to 25 centimetres of snow in Banff and Jasper National Parks by Friday afternoon.

"Friday afternoon, temperatures are expected to rapidly fall below zero with snow and strong northerly winds," says the alert.
