A Massive Adults Only Escape Room Is Taking Over The Entire Calgary Zoo This Month

There'll even be boozy drinks to purchase.
Staff Writer

The Calgary Zoo is officially open and they're hosting a massive adults-only escape room. That means there will be no screaming kids and that’s something we can get behind. The Calgary Zoo's escape room event will take place on Wednesday, July 15 and you really don't want to miss it.

Adult's only experiences are where it’s at. Fewer people, boozy beverages, and cute date opportunities. What more could you ask for?

One of the newest experiences for the 18+ crowd is taking place at the Calgary Zoo and according to their website, you'll be busy running around on a mission.

The goal of the game is to find clues, solve puzzles, and even visit the animals while trying to get out. It’s seriously the ultimate zoo experience.

There'll even be boozy beverages to purchase along the way which may even make the challenges that much more difficult.

The massive escape room will not be timed so you can enjoy it at your leisure.

To ensure social distancing, the fist group entry will take place at 5 p.m. Every 30 minutes after that the zoo will let in another group.

Each ticket is $45 plus GST or $55 plus GST if you decide to pre-order a dinner box. After all the running around, you may get hungry so this option definitely isn't a bad idea.

Each group can have up to six people and unfortunately, there are no solo entries allowed.

When you book, you will need a team name. That's essential to unlocking your escape room package.

Unlike other escape rooms, cellphones are required to participate so ensure you’re fully charged.

Keep your email app handy and notifications on because at any time, you could be dropped some helpful hints.

Rain or shine, this event will be taking place outdoors so you better dress appropriately.

Because of COVID-19, health and safety regulations will be implemented including sanitizing hot spots for touching and ensuring social distancing.

Masks are also encouraged however, they’re not mandatory.

Everyone will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the zoo until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15. Last call for drinks is promptly at 8:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for something to do that isn’t watching TV or going out to eat, you've found it.

Locked Zoo: Running Wild
