Finding a place to live can be an arduous task, especially if you need a lot of space. Prices can vary wildly depending on which province you're shopping around in. However, Canada has houses for sale everywhere that are practically mini-mansions for $200,000 or less.

It might be hard to believe, but even in Ontario and British Columbia, you can find a decent sized house without breaking the bank.

Editor's Choice: House For Sale In Prince Edward Island Has A Million-Dollar View But Is Surprisngly Cheap

Obviously, you might be living further away from major cities, but you would still have a place to call your own without spending too much.

These houses offer a lot more space than a comparably priced condo, plus many of them have added outdoor space, making them even more enticing.

Admittedly, some of these houses might not be the most updated pieces of property, particularly inside.

However, with the money you could save on the down payments, renovations probably wouldn't be out of the question (especially if you're handy enough to do some of them yourself).

If you're really in the market for a house, and you feel like a change of scenery is in order, then you can definitely find some great places across the country.
