Cineplex is offering cheap tickets for some movies in April.

If you want to get the discounted $3.99 price, you have to buy tickets a certain way.

With the Family Favourites program at Cineplex Canada, movies that the whole family can watch are played on Saturdays, and showtimes are typically in the morning.

Tickets for the Family Favourites are only $3.99 plus applicable taxes.

If you buy tickets at a Cineplex theatre for these Saturday movies, you'll get the cheap $3.99 plus tax price.

If you buy tickets online, it's going to be more expensive.

Here's the price breakdown for online movie tickets:

  • $3.99 for CineClub members (booking fee waived)
  • $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 plus a $1 online booking fee)
  • $5.49 for all other online purchases ($3.99 plus a $1.50 online booking fee)

You'll also have to pay tax on top of that.

According to Cineplex, the online booking fee allows you to select your seats in advance and share digital tickets.

It only applies to the first four tickets purchased in a transaction.

These are the $3.99 movies that Cineplex is offering this month:

  • The Secret Life of Pets — Saturday, April 5, 2025
  • Puss in Boots — Saturday, April 12, 2025
  • Hop! — Saturday, April 19, 2025
  • Dr. Seuss' The Lorax — Saturday, April 26, 2025

Family Favourites are only available at participating Cineplex locations in Canada.

So, check your local theatre to make sure that these cheap movies will be shown before heading out on Saturdays.

If you want to get the $3.99 ticket price online, you'll have to get a CineClub membership, which costs $9.99 a month.
