As of Tuesday, August 18, COVID-19 in Edmonton has led to a current case count twice as high as that of Toronto.

The entire city of Edmonton has been placed on the COVID-19 "watch list," which means health officials are monitoring the risk and speaking with city officials to determine the next steps. 

The northeast part of Edmonton is the most affected region, averaging 126 cases per 100,000 of the population, according to the Government of Alberta
