It appears that Florida sharks are already preparing for Shark Week.

On Friday, a 22-year-old surfer was bitten by a shark off of the Volusia County coastline, making her the latest to encounter a shark attack on this stretch of the coast.

The surfer's encounter in New Smyrna Beach came just one week after an 11-year-old was bitten by a shark off at the same location.

That particular beach is well-known for its nice waves but also has a reputation for shark attacks.

The surfer is expected to recover from her injuries.
