This 1 km mountain coaster near Ottawa twists through a majestic red and gold forest
This experience near Ottawa is a totally unique way to see the fall colours. You can ride a mountain coaster through a canopy of golden leaves that will completely immerse you in autumn magic.
Camp Fortune, located in Chelsea, Quebec, is home to an epic Mountain Pipe Coaster that takes you twisting and turning through colourful landscapes.
It's only half an hour away from Ottawa, making it a convenient spot for a day trip.
The experience begins with a scenic chairlift ride up the Valley Quad where you'll be treated to the red and gold views of Gatineau Park.
The coaster is controlled by a lever and can reach speeds of up to 40 kilometres an hour, but you can easily adjust your speed—whether you want to slow down or pick up the pace.
The ride takes you twisting and turning through a forest, tunnels and across the ski runs. You can slow down and enjoy a scenic cruise through the autumn surroundings, or race along the track for a more thrilling experience.
Tickets cost $20 for one ride and $10 for additional rides.
