This Toronto spot is Canada's 2nd best new restaurant and you don't want to miss dessert
It's time to book a dinner date! This Toronto spot was just named the second-best new restaurant in Canada and it features drool-worthy small plates and delicious dessert.
On November 4, Air Canada released its list of the 2024 Top 10 Best New Restaurants in Canada and four Ontario spots made the cut.
Air Canada's Best New Restaurants looks at venues that opened across Canada between late spring 2023 and May 31, 2024. Reviewed by a single, anonymous visitor, the Top 10 list considers all factors of the dining experience, including the quality of ingredients and team atmosphere.
Toronto's Mhel ranked second on the list. According to a press release, the venue serves "Korean-Japanese dishes with a touch of magic."
Inside, you'll find an "open kitchen where chefs with six burners and two charcoal grills add up to Korean-Japanese alchemy."
Mhel also offers Air Canada's Best New Restaurants' Dessert of the Year. You'll want to save room for the purin, a "sweet and simple Japanese rendition of crème caramel."
Toronto's Takja BBQ House ranked fourth on the list, with the city's Bar Prima coming in seventh and St. Catharines' Fat Rabbit at number eight.
Montreal's Sabayon was named best new restaurant in Canada overall and it serves up cozy afternoon tea.
