You might want to stay indoors today. Toronto's weather could see some severe storms with strong winds, hail and more expected to hit the city.
Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the City of Toronto at 9:17 a.m. on July 16.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain," Environment Canada says.

Hazards include wind gusts up to 90 kilometres per hour, up to 55 millimetres of rain and hail that could be as large as a nickel. Heavy rain can also result in flash floods and water pooling on roads.
"Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles," Environment Canada warns.

The storm is expected to hit this morning and last into the early afternoon as it tracks eastward over southern Ontario. It is forecasted to impact areas surrounding Toronto as well, including Burlington, Milton, Mississauga and Brampton.
You'll also want to prepare for some sweltering heat. According to Environment Canada, Toronto will see a high of 29 degrees with a humidex of 38 degrees.
