If you've ever fancied taking a trip across the pond to enjoy the warmer climate of Spain, you're in luck if you live in Toronto.

According to Pearson, Madrid and Toronto are going to feel super similar and the temperature is inching close to a daily record from over 20 years ago, but Ontario's weathe is in for a drastic change later in the week.

"It’s going to be a warm day in Toronto!" tweeted the airport. "So warm, in fact, travellers heading to Madrid from Toronto Pearson will notice near identical temperatures. Data from Environment Canada shows it will warm up to 18 C, just a few degrees below the daily record of 21.4 C set in 1990."

However, according to The Weather Network, the "early spring gift" of double digits will come with "a wet, and eventually a chillier cost by Friday.

Here's what's in store for southern Ontario from Thursday and into the weekend.

"Multiple systems move in with some unsettled weather, including rain and the chance of thunderstorms, before colder temperatures move back in and bring southern Ontario back to reality with a shot of snow for some areas," warns TWN.

Make sure you hang on to your boots and parkas because it's going to get real.

"Expect the return of winter driving conditions, so make sure you don't change your winter tires, yet," says the weather agency.
