On the morning of Tuesday, November 22, 2022, Hamilton Water maintenance staff discovered that a hole in a sewer pipe had been discharging sewage into Lake Ontario via the city's harbour for over two decades.

According to a press release by the City of Hamilton, the source of the spill was uncovered while workers were investigating a separate maintenance issue near the area of Burlington Street and Wentworth Street North.

According to OLG, MacDonald earned $100,000 after matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order for a Lottario draw on July 10, 2021. Just nine months before this, in October 2020, MacDonald won $50,000 in an Ontario 49 draw.

Hamilton Public Health revealed three weddings are responsible for some of the city's largest recent COVID-19 outbreaks.

According to their most recent data, Hamilton Public Health shows that 36 of a total of 102 cases of COVID-19 stemmed from weddings that recently happened in the city, making up for over a third (35.3%) of infections.
